Four Roses bourbon has its roots in a love story. In 1888, Paul Jones Jr., a Louisville businessman, founded the brand after proposing to a young woman—she was to wear four roses as a sign of acceptance. Those four roses became his legacy.
Four Roses' reputation rests on a distinctive approach: two different grain bills blended with five proprietary yeast strains create ten distinct bourbon recipes. This yields consistency without predictability. The bourbon matures for a minimum of five years in new American oak barrels, building its signature sweetness and depth.
On the nose, amber liquid reveals toffee, caramel, and fruity notes—marmalade, pear, and dried fruit. The palate is soft and creamy, with ripe red berries, gentle spice, and warm oak on the finish without dominance. This is bourbon that pursues balance without compromise.
