Lot No. 40 is a pure Canadian rye whisky crafted entirely by Hiram Walker in Windsor, Ontario, using traditional pot still distillation methods. This expressive rye reflects the expertise of Dr. Don Livermore, master blender and brewing scientist, whose deep knowledge of grain and wood maturation shines through in every pour.

Nosing reveals an inviting bouquet of plums and warm spices—cinnamon, clove, and ginger—alongside subtle dill and menthol notes. The palate delivers rye bread, brown sugar, and pepper, complemented by dried fruit, toffee, and oak. A light saltiness and subtle sourness provide structure, while hints of chocolate and vanilla round out the finish with elegance.
