About
Crown Royal Fine de Luxe was created in 1939 to honour the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Canada. This blended Canadian whisky is crafted from 50 distinct, full-bodied whiskies, each matured in its own cask type — primarily American white oak, including both new, heavily charred and used bourbon casks. The nose reveals soft vanilla and caramel, with hints of sweet corn and subtle spice from clove and nutmeg. On the palate, a creamy, smooth texture emerges with notes of vanilla, oak, and a light peppery rye character. The finish is dry and balanced, with oak tones and a whisper of charcoal. This is an approachable, well-balanced blend that justifies its popularity in Canada — easy to drink, yet layered enough to reward attention.
