Captain Don's is a Dutch single malt whisky from Cadushy Distillery on Bonaire, distilled and bottled within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The whisky honours Captain Don Stewart, a legendary conservationist whose legacy shaped the island. Made from corn, rye, and sorghum and matured in first fill casks, the spirit combines a naturally sweet character—amplified by fresh oak—with spicy notes from the rye. The new wood imparts additional richness to the foundation. On the nose, tropical fruit emerges alongside vanilla and almond. The palate is smooth and velvety, with hints of spice balancing the fruit. The finish is notably clean, with an intriguing smoky edge that lingers and adds complexity to the overall experience.
