About
Fireball emerged in Canada during the 1980s as part of Seagram's line of flavored spirits, originally branded as Dr. McGillicuddy's Fireball. Developed as a warming beverage for cold winters, it evolved into a global phenomenon. The name captures the product's defining characteristic: the sharp, immediate heat of cinnamon—not a subtle whisper, but an intentional jolt. This is not a traditional whisky. It's a blend of Canadian whisky base combined with cinnamon flavoring and sweeteners, bottled at 33% ABV. The result reads more as a liqueur than a sipping whisky, engineered for immediate impact and cocktail versatility. The nose reveals sharp cinnamon and a sweet, candy-like character—reminiscent of red Atomic Fireball candies. The palate delivers intense cinnamon with a hot, prickling sensation, supported by caramel and honey notes. The finish is long and warming, with lingering cinnamon and a subtle woody undertone. This is whisky stripped of contemplation. It's direct, energetic, and unapologetic—built for cocktails, hot toddies, and shots.
