In June 2026, Wolfburn Distillery released a special trilogy to mark Scotland's return to the World Cup after 28 years away. This 8-year-old single malt was paired with Scotland's match against Morocco and arrived in striking cobalt-blue packaging. The distillery positioned this as a moment of reflection in the tournament – subtly different in character from the opening game against Haiti. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks, a new presentation of Wolfburn's Northland expression. The profile balances sweetness with sea air: citrus fruits and malt wrapped in gentle peat smoke give way to notes of honey, grapes, and florals on the palate. The finish is soft and slowly fading, with a touch of peat at the close. This limited edition of 35 cl at 46% ABV appeals to both collectors and football fans. Wolfburn announced that no further bottles would be produced after the summer.
