peated scotish single malt

single malt scotch charter casks
single malt
Talisker was founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill, who named the distillery after their family estate on Skye. The island's name carries Norse heritage—settled from the 9th century onward, many Skye place names preserve that Viking legacy. This Skye expression serves as an accessible entry to Talisker's smoky character, gentler than the distillery's older core releases.
Matured for a minimum of ten years in American oak, with a secondary maturation in freshly charred casks, the whisky balances sweet vanilla and wood influence without the full peaty intensity of the 10-year-old. The cask choice brings both softness and complexity.
