Talisker Dark Storm is a travel retail exclusive from the Isle of Skye distillery, and it's no mere refinement of the standard Storm. This is a deliberate intensification: matured exclusively in heavily charred oak casks, it pushes Talisker's signature character—smoke, salt, pepper—to its limit. The nose opens with campfire smoke and sea spray, followed by dark caramel and orange peel. On the palate, the intensity unfolds: black pepper, dried seaweed, agave syrup, and a deep, burnt smoke that lingers. The finish remains dry and peppery, with a distinct bitterness likely born from those heavily charred casks.
