1988-1992 Single Malt

This exceptional single malt was born at the legendary Willowbank Distillery in Dunedin, which closed in 1996. Named after the Lammerlaw Mountains in Otago, the ranges that shaped this whisky's character, it is a vatting of two vintages: spirit distilled in 1988 and 1992, a unique blend that has matured for over three decades.

The nose reveals layers of caramel, toasted oak, and baking spice, with soft fruit sweetness and a backbone of malt. The palate offers orchard fruit, vanilla, and spices, interwoven with notes of stewed apple, poached pears, and ripe mandarin. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering sweetness.

This is a rare bottle from a closed distillery—a piece of New Zealand whisky history.
