Greedy Angels Peated Sherry Finish

Fusion
Amrut was founded in 1948 in Bangalore, but it wasn't until 2004 that the distillery released its first single malt — a moment that would reshape global perceptions of Indian whisky. The name *amrut*, derived from Sanskrit, translates to 'nectar of the gods'. What began as a local venture grew into an international success story, bolstered by whisky critic Jim Murray's endorsements in 2005 and 2010.
This Cask Strength expression is bottled at full cask strength (61.8%) without reduction. The barley is grown in northern India at the foothills of mountain ranges, and the tropical climate accelerates maturation to just 4–5 years—a natural process far faster than in Scotland.
On the nose, honeyed sweetness mingles with vanilla and citrus, anchored by rich, malty depth. The palate is full and buttery, revealing grain sweetness, blood orange, and toasted oak character. The finish is warm and powerful, striking a fine balance between spicy heat and the whisky's inherent grain-driven sweetness.
