Straight rye

Malt 'n'
Straight
Stork Club Straight Rye is Germany's first pure rye whiskey, born from an ambitious venture by three founders who established their distillery in Brandenburg, 60 kilometres south of Berlin. The name honours the white storks nesting in the region—a fitting emblem for a producer pivoting toward rye when the previous occupant of their site had built a reputation for single malts.
The whisky matures in a blend of American and German Napoleon oak casks, each individually toasted to specification. This hybrid approach—marrying American and German oak—yields a character that feels neither wholly transatlantic nor wholly European, but distinctly its own.
On the nose, butterscotch and black pepper emerge first. The palate is sweet and chewy, anchored by toffee and nuts, with dried fruit and light vanilla threading through. Mature oak frames the finish, bringing dark caramel and a whisper of glue that adds textural intrigue. This is not a bombastic rye; rather, a straightforward, approachable dram that welcomes both newcomers and seasoned rye drinkers alike.
