Single Malt

Trini
Founded in 1948 by J.N. Radhakrishna Rao Jagdale in Bangalore, Amrut proved early that world-class whisky doesn't require a Scottish postcode. Bagheera — named after Kipling's black panther — captures the bold sophistication the distillery has become known for.
This single malt marries two worlds: 75% Himalayan barley with 25% Scottish peated malt. Matured above 1000 metres in Bangalore's warm, humid climate — where whisky ages faster than anywhere else — it then finishes in oloroso casks. The result is something no traditional Scottish distillery can replicate: a whisky shaped by altitude, tropical heat, and sherry influence in equal measure.
On the nose, dried fruit, walnut, and almond emerge, followed by vanilla and toffee with a whisper of smoke. The palate brings brown sugar and melon, the sherry casks unmistakably present. The finish runs long and warming, driven by wood spice and barley sweetness.
