Port Charlotte 2011 PLC:01 / The Distillery Valinch
Port Charlotte honours a lost distillery village that Bruichladdich resurrected in 2001. This Valinch bottling from 2011 is one of just 366 bottles drawn from a single Pessac-Léognan cask — a Bordeaux wine barrel that adds elegant, fruit-forward complexity to Port Charlotte's heavily peated character.
Made from Concerto barley, peated at 40 ppm, this whisky matured eleven years in the red wine cask. At 62.1% ABV, it delivers full strength without harshness — the wine and peat enhance rather than compete.
