Cadenhead's 7 Stars is a resurrected classic blend, a name the independent bottler had retired decades ago. Originally conceived to prove that exquisite whisky could emerge from careful cask selection, the philosophy has been revived: whiskies from across Scotland are married and finished in Oloroso sherry casks to deliver a bold, mature profile.

The nose reveals rich sherry character — brown sugar, baked apple, and sweet fruit — with earthy, dunnage-like undertones. The palate brings dried fruit, toffee, and ginger spice balanced against dry cocoa notes and a syrupy sweetness. Finish turns drier and more tannic, with pencil-shaving and burnt oak edges that cut through the initial richness.

At 46% ABV, this blend eschews modern smoothness for texture and presence. It's unapologetically old-school — funky, waxy, and complex. Ideal for drinkers who want sherry influence with substance and age-worn character.
