Dewar's The Ancestor

Ballantine's Finest
Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition
Cutty Sark was born in 1923 when Berry's partners created a blended Scotch whisky designed to appeal to American drinkers. The name draws from Robert Burns' celebrated 1791 poem 'Tam O' Shanter', and the label was designed by James MacBey, a renowned Scottish artist and sailor—capturing the daring spirit of the ship itself.
This Prohibition Edition is a small batch blend of hand-selected single malts and grain whiskies, reportedly featuring Macallan, Highland Park and Glenrothes. Matured in American sherry oak casks and bottled at 50% ABV, it carries the boldness the Prohibition era demanded.
On the nose, peat and caramel dominate. The palate develops buttery texture alongside burnt sugar, toasted bread, black pepper and dark chocolate notes. The finish lingers with toffee and vanilla warmth, fading into malt and a lingering peppery bite that defines the cask strength presentation.
