Harris Reed Pink Edition

Blue Label, Ghost and Rare
The Famous Grouse traces its roots to 1896, when Matthew Gloag III established a blend in Perth that would eventually become Scotland's best-selling whisky. The brand grew from humble beginnings—a family grocery business founded in 1807—into a national institution. Today's blend draws from whiskies across Lowland, Highland, Speyside, and Island regions, each contributing its own voice.
The Famous One is matured in sherry-seasoned Spanish oak casks, a choice that defines its signature toffee and caramel character. This sherry influence provides warmth and depth beneath the blend's more delicate layers.
On the nose, malty sweetness dominates, with citrus peel and dried fruit notes emerging. The palate is smooth and oily, with pepper and vanilla arriving gently. The finish is relatively short but leaves a lingering peppery edge. This is an unpretentious whisky—straightforward, approachable, and exactly what a blended Scotch should be.
