Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition

Johnnie Walker Red Label
Ballantine's Finest takes its name from founder George Ballantine, who opened a grocer's shop in Edinburgh in 1827 and began stocking Scotch whiskies alongside provisions. The brand evolved into one of the world's second-best-selling blended Scotch whiskies. This blend unites more than 40 single malts and grain whiskies sourced from Scotland's most respected regions, including distilleries such as Miltonduff and Glenburgie.
The recipe has remained unchanged since 1910, a testament to the value of consistency. The whiskies are matured in oak casks for at least seven years before blending and bottling at 40% ABV. This formula proves that quality and approachability need not command a premium price.
On the nose, fresh malty notes emerge first, followed by citrus and orchard fruit. The palate is smooth and gently sweet, with vanilla and honey threading through. The finish lingers with spice, ginger, and fudge—a satisfying conclusion that rewards a second sip.
