James Fleming founded Aberlour in 1879, drawing water from St. Drostan's Well, named after an early Columban monk. Those springs remain central to this Speyside distillery's character today. The 18 Years is a cornerstone expression, capturing Aberlour's signature fruit-forward, layered style.

Matured in American oak and finished in PX and Oloroso sherry casks, this whisky develops considerable depth: dark red fruit, raisins and figs weave through honeyed, earthy notes and a subtle spice. The texture is rich and textured, built on a bourbon-cask foundation that grounds the sherry influence without overwhelming it.

On the nose: creamy, buttery, with dark fruit and a hint of citrus. The palate unfolds caramel and butterscotch alongside cinnamon and a long, honeyed finish. Spice lingers into the close, with European oak and a whisper of the bourbon base beneath.
