Tamdhu was founded in 1897 by a consortium of whisky blenders, but made its name through an unconventional commitment: maturing entirely in sherry casks from beginning to end. This philosophy—100% sherry cask maturation—sets Tamdhu apart from many Speyside distilleries that blend bourbon and sherry wood. The 15-year-old expression is proof of that conviction.

This single malt matures fully in sherry casks, yielding rich colour and flavour. It is not a compromise between cask types, but a consistent vision of what sherry can contribute to Speyside character.

The nose opens with apple pastry, spiced currants, and orange zest, joined by tropical pineapple and fennel. The palate brings juicy apricot and vibrant raspberry, layered with grape and prune from the sherry wood. The finish weaves those orchard fruits with toffee sweetness, supported by a medium weight that carries the entire experience.
