The Busker Triple Cask Irish

5.0 out of 5 (1 review)

The Busker is a contemporary Irish blended whiskey produced by Disaronno International at the Royal Oak Distillery in County Carlow. The name draws from the street musician – a figure embodying the bold, modern Irish spirit. The blend marries single malt, single pot still, and single grain whiskeys, each contributing distinct layers.

The 'triple cask' approach is core to its character: matured in ex-bourbon casks (American oak, yielding apple and pear fruit notes), finished in sherry casks (French oak), and marsala casks. These three wood sources and previous spirits create the foundation of the profile.

On the nose, vanilla, tropical fruit, and toffee emerge. The palate deepens with malt, dark chocolate, and a whisper of cinnamon. The spirit is soft yet full-bodied – approachable but with enough substance to hold interest. The finish lingers sweetly, echoing toffee with a gentle spice undertone.
