King Alexander III new Design

Ledaig Sinclair Series
12 Years
Dalmore was founded in 1839 by Sir Alexander Matheson on the banks of the Cromarty Firth, with an ambitious goal: to craft the first 12-year-old whisky. This classic Highland single malt stands as proof of that vision — a cornerstone expression refined over generations under the stewardship of the Mackenzie clan.
The 12 Years matures first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then finishes in rare, aged Oloroso sherry casks. This pairing delivers richness and structure without excess — the sherry provides depth and sweetness, while the bourbon foundation offers vanilla and bright fruit notes.
On the nose, orange peel and dark plums emerge alongside chocolate and hints of marzipan. The palate brings dried fruits, toffee, and a whisper of cinnamon spice, closing with coffee grains and dark chocolate. This is a measured, well-composed dram — not chasing complexity for its own sake, but rather a balanced single malt that welcomes both newcomers and seasoned drinkers alike.
