RYE

Cedar Ridge Distillery was founded in 2005 by Jeff Quint and his wife Laurie in Iowa, with family roots stretching nine generations back to German winemakers and distillers. The distillery was Iowa's first legal operation since Prohibition, built on the conviction that America's leading corn-producing state deserved its own whisky identity.

This Rye is built on 51% malted rye, 34% rye, 12% locally sourced corn, and 3% malted barley. The malted rye is the defining ingredient—a deliberate choice that sets Cedar Ridge's rye apart from traditional American versions, bringing both grain weight and subtle sweetness to the spirit.

On the nose, Christmas spices, honey, and roasted almonds emerge, with undertones of clove and allspice. The palate carries malty grain character, caramel, and fruit notes, while the finish brings cinnamon and cardamom to the fore. This is craft whisky rooted in Midwest agriculture and the Quint family's distilling heritage.
