Barley 2012
Bruichladdich's Barley project answers a simple question: what happens when you make whisky from barley grown on Islay itself? This 2012 vintage proves the concept works. Since 2004, the distillery has explored local barley under Raymond Stewart's direction, and this bottling shows how that commitment to terroir and transparency shapes the final spirit.
Bottled at 50% without chill-filtration, this is a whisky made for truth, not expectation. The spirit spent ten years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, a choice that supports its fresh, grainy character without masking it.
