Glen Grant released the Arboralis in 2020 to mark the distillery's 180th anniversary. The name draws from the botanical world — fitting for a whisky defined by its delicate, floral character. This is not a heavy, smoky Speyside expression, but a refined take on what the region can offer: fruit, honey, and elegant wood influence.
Matured in hand-selected ex-Bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry casks, the Arboralis brings forward soft fruit and honey without overwhelming the palate. At 40% ABV, it prioritizes finesse over power — a deliberate choice for subtlety.
The nose reveals citrus, pear, and dried fruit, followed by floral notes of honeysuckle and birch water. On the palate, the whisky is soft, with creamy toffee, ripe pears, and dried raisins. The finish is clean and understated, with a gentle wood backdrop.
