2014 Madeira Cask

18 Years
Wooden Case
Ardmore was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher, son of blender William Teacher, at a strategically sited location in the Scottish Highlands near Kennethmont. The name means 'big headland' in Gaelic. This 25-year-old expression represents the distillery's characteristic style: lightly peated, with a preference for smaller casks that allow intensive wood interaction.
This bottling has matured in American and European oak, combining Ardmore's signature subtle smokiness with the warmth and depth of extended aging. The wooden case presentation underscores the premium nature of this older release.
On the nose, ripe red fruits and cherries emerge, followed by caramel, vanilla, and sweet wood notes. The palate reveals a full, viscous texture with layers of pepper, dry wood smoke, and a whisper of minty spice. The finish lingers with dried fruit notes and a gentle, slowly fading smokiness.
