The Willett Pot Still Reserve takes its name from the family that founded Willett Distilling Company in Bardstown, Kentucky, in 1936. A. Lambert Willett, a second-generation bourbon distiller, continued a legacy reaching back to John David Willett, master distiller for Moore, Willett & Frenke Distillery in the 19th century. The bottle itself is an exact replica of the patented pot still built by Vendome Copper and Brass — a visual statement of the brand's craft identity.
This bourbon blends three grains: 91% corn, 7% rye, and 2% barley. Matured in new charred American oak and bottled at 47% ABV, the Pot Still Reserve opens with vanilla and citrus on the nose, followed by honey and a yeasty undertone. The palate brings caramel and oak forward, with black pepper and blackcurrant notes. The finish is medium in length, with lingering oak, vanilla, and a touch of lemon pepper.
This is a bourbon that wears its craft openly—warm and approachable, without unnecessary complexity.
