10 Years Shamrock
Kirker & Greer was founded in Belfast in 1885 by merchants Archibald Kirker and William Greer, who established the Connswater Distillery. The Shamrock line honours this heritage by blending three styles of Irish whiskey: the fruity canvas of grain spirit, the complexity of single malt, and the creamy spice of oloroso-cask finishing. This 10-year-old expression marks a deliberate return to the brand's golden age, when Shamrock was a familiar name across Northern Ireland.
The blend draws distillates from Ireland's four provinces, each contributing its own character. The result is anchored in malty grain spirit, layered with subtle fruit and gentle spice warmth from the oloroso finish.
On the palate, brown sugar sweetness arrives first, followed by stewed apple, sultanas, and a whisper of ground ginger and orange zest. The mouthfeel is rounded and approachable—no harshness, just a lingering warmth that invites another sip. A whisky that rewards slow discovery rather than demanding attention.
