St. Kilian Distillers, housed in a former textile factory in Rüdenau near Miltenberg, is Germany's largest whisky distillery. The brand takes its name from St. Kilian, an Irish-Scottish missionary active in Würzburg during the 8th century. The 'Grave Digger – Fields of Blood' expression is a tribute to Scottish whisky heritage and marks a collaboration with German heavy metal band Grave Digger.
This lightly peated single malt matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-red wine, and ex-ruby port casks. At 47% ABV, it delivers a full, creamy palate with layered complexity.
On the nose, gentle peat smoke frames a fruity core of red berries, ripe peaches, and sweet grapes, with vanilla and oak spice adding depth. The palate is lush and creamy, opening with red fruit and soft floral-herbal notes alongside fine tannins. The finish remains warm and woody, with lingering sweetness and spice.
