High Spirits Lochs and Castles of Scotland

Bruichladdich was built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on the shore of Loch Indaal, on Islay's Rinns peninsula. After decades of closure and neglect, the distillery was resurrected in 2001 with a clear purpose: to create thought-provoking spirits rooted in raw ingredients and farming. This 12-year-old single malt embodies that philosophy—an unpeated Islay that defies regional expectation.

The nose reveals red grapes, lemon and orange, followed by honey and caramel. The palate arrives full and creamy, with spice threading through to prevent cloying sweetness. The finish is long and layered, dark fruit notes holding their ground without tipping into wine-soaked territory.
