Built in 1881 on the western shore of Loch Indaal, Bruichladdich endured multiple closures before reopening in 2001 as a beacon of production transparency. Under Rémy Cointreau's ownership since 2012, the distillery has redefined what Islay whisky can be — The Laddie Eight is unpeated, refined, and nothing like the smoky stereotype.

This 8-year-old single malt draws from roughly 55 different casks, holding two vintages of spirit and five cask types — American and European oak deliberately blended. No chill-filtering, no added colour; barley and wood speak for themselves.
