Peated Smoked

Glenturret claims to be among Scotland's oldest working distilleries, founded in 1763. This 10 Years Peated Smoked represents a rare expression of a distillery with deep roots in peat-drying tradition — a practice dating to its founding, though now diminishing. It is whisky that reveals Glenturret's character: smoky, but restrained.

Matured in refill sherry casks (both American and European oak) and bottled at 46.5% without chill filtration, it delivers texture and an oily mouthfeel. The composition blends peated and non-peated distillate, softening the smoke's edge.

On the nose: smoked mackerel and sweet vanilla lead, followed by dried fruit — dates and figs. The peat smoke remains balanced and gentle, supported by oak wisps. On the palate, earthy malt and soft smokiness build with sea salt and ginger spice. The finish is long and lingering, dominated by peat and sweet notes without significant evolution.
