Tamdhu was founded in 1897 by a consortium of blenders, led by the legendary William Grant, with a singular focus: sherry-cask matured whisky. From the outset, the distillery forged partnerships with the finest bodegas in Jerez, Spain, securing supplies of premium Oloroso casks. This 15 Years Old embodies that commitment — matured entirely in European and American oak sherry-seasoned casks, with no shortcuts.
Maturation in Oloroso wood gives this Speyside malt its distinctive depth and colour. While many distilleries use sherry as an accent, here it is the foundation of everything the whisky becomes.
On the nose: dried stone fruit, dark chocolate, walnuts, and a whisper of cinnamon. The palate brings brown sugar sweetness, pear, and a subtle cocoa bitterness. The finish is warm and lingering, the sherry-oak tannins still present and defining.

Delicious. Soft, sweet and a pleasant finish. In terms of price-to-quality, you're better off buying this than blue label. For that money you get this one and still have 50 euros left over
