Established in 1828 by Archibald Mitchell, this distillery remains dedicated to traditional methods, including self-malted barley and drying with both hot air and peat. This whisky undergoes a unique 2.5 times distillation and is bottled unchillfiltered, contributing to its authentic character. Upon tasting, this 10-year-old whisky reveals a rich and complex experience. The nose offers a blend of red apples, vanilla, oranges, and a hint of honey, while the palate showcases notes of pepper, melted salted butter, and charred lemon, complemented by sweet tangerine and light smoke.
