Amarone Cask Finish

Arran's Amarone Cask Finish marries the fresh, fruity character of Scottish single malt with the rich, concentrated grapes of Italy. After three years of maturation in traditional oak casks, this whisky receives a secondary finishing in Amarone wine casks from the Veneto region – a style crafted from partially dried grapes, yielding an intensely sweet profile.

The Amarone finish brings a luxurious, dark dimension without overwhelming Arran's core spirit. The result is a whisky that feels both powerful and refined, with the structure of aged red wine and the warmth of Scottish distillation.

The nose reveals dried fruits – figs, prunes, raisins – alongside hints of cocoa and coffee. The palate unfolds with roasted almonds, poached pears and honey, and dark chocolate. The finish lingers with cherries, vanilla, and a gentle smoke that brings balance to the sweetness.
