French Oak Reserve

The Glenlivet was founded in 1824 by George Smith, a former illicit distiller who became the first to take out a legal distilling license in the Highlands. This 15-year-old expression is selectively finished in French Limousin oak casks — a choice that amplifies the whisky's natural fruitiness while introducing the warm, spiced depth characteristic of French oak maturation.

The marriage of Speyside character with French oak influence creates a balance between sweetness and woody structure. The nose opens with vanilla, toffee, and almond, followed by orchard fruits and biscuit notes. The palate is round and velvety, with fresh fruit, nutty flavours, and dark chocolate-toffee notes. The finish lingers with hints of nuts and a subtle spiced edge.
