Bowmore is Islay's oldest distillery, established in 1779 by entrepreneur David Simson on the shores of Loch Indaal. The Legend embodies that pioneering character: an approachable single malt that demonstrates what makes Bowmore distinctive without surrendering to extreme peatiness.

The whisky matures in ex-bourbon casks within Bowmore's famous cellars—some lying below sea level—where Islay's natural influences—salt air, peat, pure water—work their slow alchemy over time.

In the glass, Legend shows a golden-brown hue. The nose is salty and gently smoky, with clear malt backbone and earthy undertones. The palate is soft and smooth, revealing honey, citrus, and restrained smoke that complements rather than overwhelms. The finish remains pleasantly sweet with maritime and pine notes, without harshness.
