Ardbeg Corryvreckan is a powerful and complex single malt named after the legendary maelstrom north of Islay. The nose reveals a fascinating interplay of sweet and savoury notes: tropical fruits, buttery sweetness and citrus are immediately balanced by briny, maritime character with hints of fish oil. On the palate, torrents of flavour erupt—peppery spice, smoked dark chocolate and deep, chewy peaty elements dominate, complemented by seaweed undertones and a creamy texture. The finish lingers warmly and persistently, with echoes of anise and nutwood.
