'Warehouse Reserve' Ardmore 2014 11 Year Old 60.2%

Woodrow's of Edinburgh has established itself as a curator of overlooked single malts, hunting for quality beyond the mainstream releases. This 2014 Ardmore is part of their 'Warehouse Reserve' collection – a deliberate focus on discovering character in less celebrated distilleries.

Ardmore itself is a peated Highland producer, and this 11-year-old expression is bottled at cask strength (60.2% ABV), non-chill filtered and naturally coloured. Distilled in December 2014, it spent eleven years maturing in refill hogsheads before bottling in January 2026.

The nose reveals earthy woodsmoke, citrus peel, and rose petals – a genuine interplay between the peat and brighter fruit notes. The palate is silky and layered, with orange zest, dark chocolate, and old leather. The finish lingers with smoke and dry warmth, a testament to Ardmore's peating character and the maturity the spirit has gained.
