Captain Dons

Captain Don's is a Dutch whisky from Cadushy Distillery on Bonaire, distilled and bottled within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It honours Captain Don Stewart, a legendary conservationist and ecotourism pioneer on the island. This whisky is made from corn, rye, and sorghum—an unconventional grain bill that creates a distinctive character.

Matured in first fill casks, the spirit gains an extra layer of sweetness from the virgin oak. At 40% ABV, it offers an approachable profile without the intensity of cask strength.

The nose reveals tropical fruit, vanilla, and almond notes. On the palate, rye spice and dried spices emerge, balanced against the grain sweetness. The finish turns notably smoky, a striking contrast to the whisky's initial tropical and sweet opening.
