Since its inception, Douglas Laing has built its reputation selecting and bottling quality whiskies from various producers — and Green Douglas represents an affordable entry into Belgian grain whisky from that tradition. This 5-year-old expression, bottled at 40% ABV, offers a straightforward grain whisky with little pretence to complexity. The nose opens hesitantly with typical bourbon notes: corn, sugar, and breakfast cereals. Coconut then emerges forcefully, reflecting time spent in American oak.
