The London Distillery Company breaks convention with New Forms — an experimental series exploring how English single malt evolves when tradition is deliberately challenged. This ex-bourbon expression was first matured in refill hogsheads, then finished for 12 months in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask (#11190). Limited to just 222 bottles at 60.7% ABV. This is transparent dialogue between spirit and wood. The nose brings bright notes of barley, vanilla and ripe yellow fruit, with hints of honey, citrus and lightly toasted oak. The palate is powerful and pure — full of fruit, creamy vanilla and malty sweetness, with defined oak that supports without overpowering. The finish is long, warm and expressive, with lingering grain, citrus, gentle spice and dry oak. Here, wood plays its role without masking the spirit.
