About

Glendalough was one of Ireland's first craft distilleries, founded in 2011 by five entrepreneurs led by Kevin Keenan. Located in Wicklow's Valley of the Two Lakes—a region steeped in illicit distilling tradition—this Single Malt carries that heritage: youthful, direct, unpretentious. The nose leads with green fruit—apple and pear—alongside vanilla and subtle grain. The palate is where youth shows: citrus, light spice (cinnamon, white pepper), with undertones of crème brûlée and dark chocolate. The finish turns dry and peppery, with ginger and a hint of bitter tea. This whisky doesn't pretend to be older than it is. Its simplicity is its strength—fruity, cereal-forward, and honest. A straightforward introduction to Irish single malt character, without the distraction of heavy wood influence.
