Refined Edition

Copenhagen Distillery was founded in 2014 by Henrik Brinks and Anders Frandsen, driven by a passion for design, experimentation, and radical thinking. The Refined Edition embodies this philosophy: crafted from 100% organic Danish barley—including cold-smoked portions—and matured in virgin and specially seasoned Hungarian oak casks. This is not a conventional single malt; it is a deliberate departure from convention.

At 60% ABV, this whisky speaks plainly. The nose reveals delicate phenols and subtle smoke, followed by a distinctive character of anise and liquorice that some find polarizing. The palate balances deep brown sugars and malt with drier oak notes, enveloped in elegant beechwood smoke. The finish is intricate without effort—powerful yet composed.

This is a whisky for those guided by precision and thoughtful experimentation rather than tradition. The Hungarian oak and smoked malt deliver a character you won't find in Scottish or Irish single malts.
