26 Year Old Exceptional Cask Double Cask

Aberfeldy was built in 1896 by the Dewar brothers, designed by Charles Cree Doig with his signature pagoda roof. This 26-year-old expression from the Exceptional Cask Series represents the maturity of this Eastern Highland distillery—long overlooked until Bacardi acquired it in 1998 and unlocked its potential.

Matured in a combination of first-fill American oak and sherry-seasoned casks, this whisky builds in layers. The interplay between wood structure and sherry-derived fruit creates a profile that is both refined and substantial.

The nose reveals vanilla, heather, and toasted oak, followed by a palate layered with toffee, orange zest, and a whisper of dark chocolate. The finish is silky and lingering, with honey, dried fruits, and oak working in concert—no single element dominates.
