Ériu honours the Irish goddess from mythology, the legendary guardian of the land from which Ireland takes her name. This is a milestone release: the first where distiller Patrick had full creative control over both the mash bill and cask selection—he even hand-signed every label. The mash bill of 30% oats, 30% rye, and 40% heavily peated malt is double-distilled in traditional direct-flame-fired stills. After three weeks in Killowen's own rum casks, the spirit reveals creamy cereal notes, earthy spice, and distinctive peat smoke, layered with molasses sweetness and soft fruit from the wood. Bottled at 55% ABV in just 150 bottles, this poitín embodies texture and authenticity—uncompromising craft from the Mourne Mountains.
