Old Perth's remarkable revival came when Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers revived the historic Perth blend. This Pedro Ximénez expression answers direct demand—the previous PX edition sold out instantly in 2023. The release brings together five exceptional Speyside distillates, each fully matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez butts and hogsheads from Bodega José y Miguel Martin in Spain. Maturation in these intensely-used casks creates a deep, indulgent character. The nose opens with sticky dates and overripe grapes, layered with warming spice notes. The palate delivers sticky toffee pudding and molasses, with cinnamon threading subtly into the finish. Bottled cask strength at 54.3% ABV, non-chill filtered and without added colour, this release lets the full richness of cask interaction speak.
