Teapot Dram Batch NO. 011

About
Redbreast takes its name from the robin redbreast, a bird deeply rooted in Irish heritage. The brand was born in 1903 when Gilbeys, a Dublin spirits merchant, sourced distillate from Jameson's Bow Street Distillery. The 12-year expression was first bottled in October 1985 in refill American Oak ex-Bourbon casks — a moment that revived the brand. Single Pot Still is a distinctly Irish style: made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, triple-distilled in copper pot stills. This method gives the whisky its characteristic texture and spiced depth. Redbreast 12 Years matures exclusively in ex-Bourbon casks, preserving a clean, fruity foundation without the weight of sherry maturation. In the glass, a full, complex dram unfolds. The nose offers dried fruit, subtle florals, and light leather notes. The palate brings spice, honey, and candied orange, with a silky texture that lingers long. This is no flamboyant whisky — rather, a balanced expression of Irish craft.
