The Orchard Cut 10 Year Old

Bourbon Barrel

About

Rosemaund Farm is the product of a family story spanning decades. The Chase family, known for their award-winning vodka, revived their whisky ambitions in 2025 in Herefordshire under Master Blender Tristan Stephenson. The Orchard Cut is no accident in its name: the distillery sits beside historic apple orchards, and that landscape has shaped the whisky's character. The 10-year-old single malt is built on locally grown Maris Otter barley and matured in American bourbon casks (Heaven Hill and Jim Beam), which bring a soft vanilla undertone. The location among the orchards has left its mark — apple and blossom are not marketing claims, but a tangible signature of place. Nose: fresh green apple, orchard blossom, cool cucumber skin, hints of melon, soft vanilla. Palate offers a fruit-salad impression with refined dryness, black pepper, and cinnamon-nutmeg spice. The finish is elegant, with a tart apple aftertaste that pulls the whole story together. This is English whisky's answer to terroir — not merely fruity and refined, but bound to a specific place and a family with the patience to wait ten years.
