Inspired by Ford's visit to Glenmorangie during filming, where he sampled exclusive casks alongside Master Distiller Dr Bill Lumsden and Master Blender Gillian Macdonald, this single malt whisky combines classic bourbon cask maturation with a rare finish in toasted Portuguese red wine casks. The nose opens fresh and vibrant with lively citrus notes reminiscent of orange marmalade, complemented by floral hints of jasmine and honeysuckle, with subtle touches of beeswax and candle wax adding depth. On the palate, the signature 'bite' emerges immediately, with Seville orange, lemon, and grapefruit notes giving way to softer layers of baked bread, apricot, muscovado sugar, and buttery caramel. The balance between freshness and warmth creates a highly versatile dram. The finish is long, with flavours of orange oil, leather, and balanced oak tannins.
