About

Port Charlotte is Bruichladdich's peaty expression, produced on the Isle of Islay. This 13-year-old single malt was distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2016 as a rare private cask release. The whisky showcases a beautiful marriage of rich sherry maturation with Islay's characteristic smoky character, creating a sophisticated and well-balanced dram. The nose reveals sherry-driven complexity with notes of smoked walnuts, mineral freshness, and hints of mown hay and subtle smoke. On the palate, dry and spicy sherry takes centre stage, complemented by the spirit's natural Islay smokiness and a faint maritime edge. The finish is warming and persistent, with lingering smoke and spice that leaves a satisfying impression.
